nando's mineral water- rm2.95
famous peri saucesprices arent exactly cheap for nando's but it certainly is filling. the food are pretty decent. most of its outlets have fairly nice ambience as well, certainly a recommended place for meals :)

mr teppanyaki
as mentioned in my last post, i had a very bad experience at mr teppanyaki @ sunway pyramid. the outlet has been here for a very long time, it used to be green but they underwent a facelift and painted it red and with better furnishings. however, service remains poor and worst still, the food are getting worst as well.it sucks cos we're big suckers for teppanyaki. we absoteppanyakingly love it. sighs.
anyway, after the facelift, the menu also changed- to the better as it has more variety of food now. would be best if the taste of food upgrades too, but... *sighs*
yose nabe- rm9.90the beef teppanyaki was soooooo disappointing. look at one of our fav elements- the vege. NO CABBAGE??!!! what the hell. i remember that its a point to have a mountain of vege but all i see is NO CABBAGE and a flat pile of tauge -_-
AND that is not all! there are also missing elements of fried garlic and the sweet pickles that ALWAYS MUST come with teppanyaki sets. when asked where are the "side extras" the waitress just selamba-ly reply, "sudah habis". what the hell. it was only 12pm!! LIARS. dun have then say takde lah.
dont be deceived by the yose nabe. it is actually very small only.

does it look anything like green to you? worst still, what kind of cups are they using??! the one you're seeing in the foreground is actually those type of cups in wongkok char chan teng where they serve bubble tea with. somebody please tell the management that green tea and these cups SO DOESNT MATCH! whats worst than worst is that the cups are... yellowish. ohmaigourd.
i requested for my cup to be changed afterwards. its just so yuck and blehhhhh.

for such bad service and bad food... it is too much to pay for. i would highly recommend anyone and everyone to go to mr teppanyaki ONLY when every other single eatery outlet (including bakeries, kioks, roadside stall) in sunway pyramid is FULL.
strictly a eat-to-live.

hartamas square
after live & loud kl last sunday, we hopped over to hartamas for dinner and decided to settle down at hartamas square- foodcourt (wah got website summore).
the stalls are not too many and the food offered are the usual foodcourt food you find in ming tien @ taman megah or asia cafe @ ss15 subang. for starters we ordered an oh jien (fried oyster omelet) to share.oh jien... okok allow me to digress awhile. do you know jien from disney channel fame and sarah tan from channel [v] or mtv (??) fame are getting married...??!! how many screaming girl fans of jien 's dreams are dashed and the ever so hot sarah's male fans are shattered!! i personally really like sarah. she's damn hot k. sighs. i wonder how they babies look like -_-
oh jien... i mean the oyster omelet now, wasnt that good. it was just... blehhhh. something that after the third bite you'll be like okayyyy, i cant take this anymore. yeah, that unappetizing. so dont order!

this is the same pasta/pizza stall at asia cafe. jill had penne all' arrabiata. comes in big portions and jill cant finish it...
that afternoon i had teppanyaki which i will tell the story in my next/future post. and when i saw param's teppanyaki, i got reminded of the one i had that afternoon. one thing's for sure, param's looked better than the one i had. and im sure it tasted better too!! param enjoyed it :)
eager to try something different than the usual hawker fare, i went swiss on that night. i had rösti- a swiss type of pan fried potato. honestly speaking, im quite a sucker for anything with eggs and potato. these two are my comfort food. the roast beef bacon did not disappoint for the price i paid (you'd probably pay double at marche the curve). it looks simple but it tasted nice... and it was filling as well.
all three of us opted for fruit juices- mine was carrot milk, jill's honeydew and param's orange. at rm3.70 per glass it was nothing to shout about. bit diluted but oh well, who serves pure orange juice at a foodcourt at rm3.70 anyway!
**********
work has been very very very (x infinity) tiring! imagine standing and telling people the same line over and over again for about 2148912498934 times. on the first night, it was a disaster and sales was very bad! saturday's sales picked up 2.5 folds compared to friday's but we still were 1/4 away from target sales. sunday was very disappointing!! just when you thought sales would be better, it was worst.
sighs... maybe its not christmas yet and people havent push the panic button on what to buy as gifts. hopefully sales picks up by then.
meanwhile... PLEASE COME AND SUPPORT US AND BUY OUR CHOCOLATES K! we're at bangsar village (old wing opposite village grocer and L'OCCITANE) from 10am-10pm daily till 28th december!!
kthxbye.

p/s: wont be able to update daily esp on weekends cos i work from 10am-10pm. by the time i get home, all i wanna do is collapse on my bed. and the next morning, all i wanna do is just not wake up. work is hard. please appreciate the profession of promoters.

waroeng penyet
last sunday, jon, eiling and i went for indon food... its my first time (both indon food and waroeng penyet). its a relatively new place opened at the curve and if its not for the review of other floggers i wouldnt know that this part of the world where waroeng penyet is located exist! (i seldom take the connecting bridge from ikano to the curve)
we were immediately seated. crowd wasnt that huge on a sunday night but many non-malays faces were spotted patronizing this eatery place- signs of approval from the community :)
its a self service place where it functions like the hk-charchanteng style, except that after you tick the items that you want, you have to bring it to the cashier itself, pay the bill and he/she will take note of your orders from there. the workers there are all indonesians which further enhances the authencity of the place. the food... we'll taste first and comment later ;-)
these are what we ordered-
gado gado- rm5.90
mixed salad in peanut sauce
rawon- rm6.90
javanese beef soup
ayam penyet- rm7.90
flattened fried chicken (must try!!)
ayam panggang- rm7.90
grilled chicken
keropok- rm1.90
es milo dinosaur- rm3.90
(must try!!)
jus jeruk limau- rm3.50
es teh sosro- rm2.50
sweetened jasmine tea (must try!!)
total bill for 3 pax- rm42.30
(no taxes yet!!)

taste wise, it is something different from our usual kfc/roadside nasi lemak fried chickens as penyet in malay means flattened. yes, the chicken is flattened before frying to make its flesh loosen from its bones for easy eating. there are also empal penyet (fried beef), bawal penyet (fried pomfret), udang penyet (fried prawns), lele penyet (fried catfish), bakso penyet (fried beef balls), wings penyet (fried chicken wings) and tahu, tempe & telor penyet (fried egg, tempe & taufoo).
besides penyet items, there are also grilled, soup and greenies items... and best thing is all of them are priced below rm10. so for about rm15, you'll get a yummylicious filled indon meal.

i'll definitely recommend this place to anyone and everyone! and i'll be back to savour the rest of the items in their menu... right now, im craving for the penyet items already!!
