this is food republic singapore @ wisma atria. it is really big with so many stalls offering local, asian and western cuisines that you'll be spoilt for choices!
rainbow colors nyonya kuih-muihs (those with blue glutinous rice are my favs!)
real or fake? fruit juice counter
in singapore, their roti canai is called roti prata. mamaks never look this cool.
ed's fish delights
Calvin: The fish slice noodles was just ok... The soup was sweet and not too msg-ish, but it didn't taste as good as the fish head noodles here even without the milk.
mixed beef noodles- SGD$4.60 (anything with beef is yumm for me!)
singapore fried prawn noodles (quite different from m'sian style)
Calvin: I love this fried noodle. Fried using thick vermicelli and yellow noodles, this fried noodle tasted great. It was really flavorful and the use of fried pork lard oil is a plus point!
huat huat bbq chicken wing
minimum order was 3 wings and it was teh awesome! calvin's sister loved it so much she reordered another 3!
Calvin: The chicken wings was pretty good, i like the fact that the skin was crispy unlike the ones in Malaysia.
curry noodles
Calvin: I had it with thick vermicelli and yellow noodles and it tasted good. The "tau foo pok" used is not the common one you see in Malaysia, it's square cut into 2 pieces shaped like a triangle. The soup wasn't too "coconuty" and spiciness was just right with the addition of the sambal, and once again... I added fried pork lard.
Calvin: I love the thick vermicelli and the fried pork lard available in almost every food stall! Why can't we have it in Malaysia... well, the pork lard is understandable but the thick vermicelli! It's really rare here.

ToriQ is a stall selling japanese yakitori at the takashimaya food court area. from miles away you'll hear those skewers of meat calling your name... to eat 'em!
a very cool machine that automates the dipping of sauces before being grilled
chicken skin, chicken wing, unagi, chicken karaage, tontoro pork, chicken fillet, chicken balls, pork with asparagus, chicken with green pepper... take your pick!
our pick- chicken skin, pork, pork with asparagus
Calvin: Finishing the chicken skin myself felt a lil sinful. Yiling took a piece :-p

korean bulgogi! similar to ToriQ but with a korean flavour this time! temptations, le sigh.
i think they are koreans... or maybe singaporeans selling korean food.
those jumbo sausages are calling my name!! so are the pork and chicken bulgogi... the korean pancakes, squid skewers... etc
glowing skewers of yummyness!
Calvin: The chili sauce for the fried korean delicacies were pretty unique. It was spicy!
